In each of these lessons, and throughout the rest of The Money Siphon System modules I’m going to be using Squidoo as my example. I do this not because Squidoo is the only page where this can happen but because I LIKE Squidoo and I think it’s easy.

You can use these same techniques with Blogger, Hubpages, WordPress and/or any number of totally free, Search Engine friendly social sites out there.The other reason we’re starting with Squidoo is because I actually know how to set them up. I’m not really that good with Hubpages, Blogger and the others…and while some will read that statement and think me stupid… others will read that and realize a simple fact:

The ‘Magic’ Behind The Fear Curtain

Now we’re cooking with gas! Never before in my life have I seen pages sell as much stuff as when I do a complete video review of the product. It is like the difference between night and day. People simply respond to video!

Personally I think a video review is the easiest thing in the world. I can sit there all freaking day and crank these out… because it requires almost zero effort!

You can use every single tactic I’ve talked about already… you can be the “angry affiliate” you can be the “angry rebate happy affiliate”, you can be the “not so angry but I’ll give you a rebate” affiliate… and you can be the “review dude”.

I have done videos as all of them at one point or another.

With this one I wouldn’t suggest simply going over the sales letter. You’re going to want to actually have at least a review copy to talk about. As luck would have it you can frequently get one from joining prelaunches through http://www.onetruemedia.com/.

Just make sure the name of the product launching is in the right places on your site/lens. This is what’s called “On Page Optimization”.

Once this is correct I’ll show you how to combine it with “Off Page Optimization” to totally blast your new kick-ass page into the Google Top 10 in only a few days (and sometimes hours!)

Make sure you grab a launch that’s taking place about 2 weeks from the day you put up your page.

#1: Make sure the product name is in the URL of your Lens. 1x

#2: Make sure the product name is in the Title of your Lens. 1x

#3: Make sure the product name is in the Tag of your Lens. 1x

#4: Make sure the product name is in each headline of your Lens

#5: And make sure the product name is in the copy of your Lens

A quick note for in page optimization that will get you going quickly:

make sure the product name is in Bold. Just look at the example screen shot to see what I’m talking about.You don’t need to do much more than that.

Create a Squidoo Lense

Squidoo.Com is a fairly new site and it allows users to create their own "lenses" of information. Lenses are basically short pages of content along with links on the subject area. It is a kind of "Wikipedia" but a much more concise version, although I cannot say that the information is as credible as what can be found on "Wikidpedia". Regardless of that, it can be used for online marketing purposes because it is a well-ranked site, and we can use it for backlinks and promotion of affiliate products. You can create as many lenses as you like.

Head over to Squidoo.Com, and click on the sign up link and create an account. It's simple and only takes a minute or two.

Once you have created your account, you can easily creat new "lenses". The provided wizard makes it real easy. Here are some screenshots of a sample lense:

• First choose a subject area - this will become the title of your lens.

   

• Next, specify what you want to do with your lens. I choose the last option. Depending on what you use, you will get different editing features. Choosing the last option "I just want to do my own thing" option gives you more flexibility to create your lens as you wish.

    

• Next, specify your title and URL, and a suitable category. Try to make sure your URL is keyword rich as it will help rankings in the search engines. Google likes Squidoo pages.

   

• Finally, add some relevant keyword phrases. Squidoo will add these keyword phrases onto your lens in the form of links - another way it helps your lens to rank in the engines.

   
  
  Squidoo.Com is a very good resource for online marketing. If you choose a right niche area and the right keywords you can get top ten rankings in Google.

Here we come to that totally kick-ass portion of the show where you get to WOW your friends and family with your ability to launch anything into the search engines almost instantly!

There is seriously NOTHING difficult about this.

(But I won’t tell if you won’t!) Remember how I told you to put the product name in the URL and title of your page? There’s a great reason for that. Not only does it help lock you in with the buyers psychology and make you relevant to what they’re searching for… it also tells Google what your page is about!

and so on. These sites are extremely good for getting traffic, and if used properly, will send you masses of traffic.The first thing I’d recommend you do is create an XML sitemap of your website and submit

Install and configure your blog, and set it to moderate comments. This will help you to avoid spammers whilst still allowing people to comment on your blog. There is a Wordpress plugin called Akismet which you need to enable. It will catch most spam comments automatically for you and save you a lot of work.

Make sure the front page or your website also has a link to your blog so that the search engines can find and index it.

Now the good thing about a blog is that it is “fresh content” as far as the search engines are concerned. They like it because it means your site is being regularly updated and so is more likely to be relevant.

Some people will tell you to update your blog every day. However, for most people who have a life outside of the Internet this is just not practical. Updating it two or three times a week is more than adequate for our purposes.

What do you put in your blog?

Now it is time to start building links to your website through a link exchange program.

t's no big secret that in order to get a top search engine ranking, you need other websites to link to your website. And depending on what keywords you're trying to rank well for, you may need hundreds, to thousands of links to crack the top 10 in the major search engine (Google, Yahoo, and MSN).

For example, the #1 ranked website on Google for the search term "web hosting" has well over 15 million websites linking to them! That's right... I said 15 million other websites! I know what you're thinking. "Web hosting" is a very competitive search term. I wouldn't need that many links to get a top ranking... And you're right. You wouldn't. In most cases, you could get a top ranking with as little as a few hundreds links.

But... what I can tell you is that if you have zero websites linking to you, you will have zero ranking in the search engines. So, how do you get around this? Easy, you find as many websites to exchange links with as possible.

The more websites you can get to link to your website, the higher you will rank in the search engines, guaranteed!

These top ranked websites know this and they will do any and everything humanly possible to get other websites to link to them. Because a higher ranking means a BIGGER pay day!Why doesn't everyone and their brother trade links if it gets you top rankings?

Go to your favourite search engine and type in your Major Keyword. Visit every single site in the first half a dozen pages and find their links page. Place a link to them on your site and complete the link request form on their webpage. If they do not have a form for link exchanging then you can usually approach them via email and request a link exchange.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to do all the sites all at once. Aim to do four or five a week.Remember, you are thinking long term here, not short term.When you have done a lot of the sites with your Major Keyword, repeat this for your Minor Keywords.

At the same time, you can also search for website directories relating to your keywords and put your website in these. Avoid paid submissions to start with if you are on a budget. You can use them if you want to spend the money, though most of them charge a lot of money for very little in return. Don’t be fooled by the promises of high traffic and lots of visitors – it’s not likely to happen. It may in some cases, but in the majority it won’t.

Ideally you want to find sites with a high page rank to link exchange with. Sites with higher page ranks are crawled more often by Google. If they link to your site then you will get indexed much quicker. I have built a PR5 site and I always add a link to my new sites here in order to get them indexed quickly.
